서버를 운영하면서

물리적인 부품에 문제가 생겨서 그 부품을 교체해야 하거나

성능 향상을 위해 부품을 추가 하거나

다른 장비에 쓰기 위해 부품을 빼거나 하는 일들이 분명 한번은 생깁니다.

 

그 때 그 부품을 어떻게 교체하는지에 대해 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

교체하기에 앞서 오늘은 우선

 

현재 서버 구성이 어떻게 되어 있는지 HMC가 아닌 서버내에서 확인 하는 방법을

알아보겠습니다.

 

오늘은 딱 몸풀기용 명령어 3가지만 아시면 됩니다.

prtconf, lsdev, lscfg

 

 

 

 

1. prtconf 서버의 전체적 구성을 알고 싶다면

 

 

명령어 창에서 아래 명령어

prtconf 를 입력하면 보통 길게 출력 되는데요

 

서버에 대해 대부분의 정보를 얻을 수 있습니다.

prtconf 는 일일점검용 명령어는 아닙니다.

보통 엔지니어분들이 많이 사용하실텐데요

지원 요청을 받았을 때 처음본 장비라면 전체적 구성을 알기 위해

한번씩 사용하는 명령어 입니다.

 

대략적인 성능및 볼륨그룹의 구성 붙어있는 장치들에 대해 대략적인 정보를 표시함으로써

서버의 현재 상태를 머릿속에 그려줍니다.

 

그럼 지금 본 prtconf로 봤을 때

지금 테스트 서버 상태는 어떤가요?

 

9117-MMA 장비로 power 6칩 장비 입니다.

CPU는 1개가 할당 되어 있고 속도는 약 3.5Ghz 이네요?

지금까지 시리즈를 잘 보신분이면 여기서의 CPU 1개라는 것이

 

진정 물리적 으로 1개인지 아니면 0.1 단위로 할당 가능했던 그 CPU인지

아니면 논리적으로 할당 된 그 CPU인지 궁금하실겁니다.

 

 

 

무엇일까요?

 

여기에 대해서는 조금 긴 설명이 필요한데 따로 빼서 설명드리겠습니다.

 

우선 네트워크 구성, 페이징스페이스 상황, 현재 activce 된 VG들에 대해서도

확인 가능합니다.

 

그리고 현재 붙어 있는 수많은 장치들

현재 본 테스트 장비가 VIOS라서 더더욱 많은 장치들이 보이네요 ^^

 

 

2. 장치 구성? lsdev 로 시작

보통 서버에 이렇게 많은 device가 붙지 않습니다.

db서버의 경우에는 이것보다도 훨씬 많이 보이겠지만요

 

장치 이름과 장치에 대한 설명에 대해서 한번씩 그냥 눈으로 봐주기만 하세요 ^^

여기 나온 용어들이 나중에 많이 사용하게 될겁니다.

자세히 보도록 하겠습니다.

이름이 hjdis1~hdisk16 으로 PV란것을 알 수 있습니다.

그럼 현재 디스크가 몇개 붙어있는지 우선 알았습니다.

 

몇개인가요?

16개?

 

정확한 답은 아닙니다.

16개 디스크가 붙었어고 지금은 확실히 16개가 붙어있는지 모릅니다.

확실히 붙어 있는 디스크는 hdisk1~hdisk6번 까지 입니다.

 

왜일까요?

 

이미 아시겠지만 Available과 Defined 의 차이기 때문입니다.

현재 사용가능한것은 Availabe로 표시됩니다.
defind은 현재 ODM에는 남아 있는데 하드웨어적으로 이상이 있거나 서버와 연결이

되어 있지 않은 상태입니다.

 

그리고 여기서 Available 옆에 09-08-00을 유심히 봐주세요~!

이 숫자를 왜 자세히 봐야 할까요?

흔히 말하는 부모 자식 관계입니다.

 

부모 자식 관계가 중요한것이

장치를 제거 할 때 굉장히 중요합니다.

 

만약 제가 구성을 모르고 sissas1을 서버에서 제거 해버리면 무슨 일이 벌어질까요?

09-08 밑으로 붙어 있는 위 장치들이 다 날아갑니다...

 

지금보니 디스크6개가 붙어있는데 날아가버리면???

생각하기도 싫으네요 ^^

lsdev로 hdisk들이 있다는걸 알았는데

특정 hdisk에 대해 좀더 상세한 정보를 알고 싶다면

 

lscfg -vl 장치이름을 주시면 됩니다.

 

보통 참고하는 정보가

DQDWWTF-P3-D6  SAS Disk Drive (73400 MB) 장치 물리적 위치

 

FRU라고 하는 부품 번호 10N7230

이번호를 IBM측에 알려주면 해당 부품과 동일한 모델의 부품을 받을 수 있습니다.
